Mr. Smith's consulting services include:
- Determining appropriate levels of compensation.
- Assessing and improving processes for determining executive compensation.
- Assuring compliance with Intermediate Sanctions regulations.
- Developing incentive compensation programs where appropriate.
- Assuring that compensation program goals are linked with organization strategy.
- Helping the Board communicate with management on compensation matters.
- Designing and implementing performance management programs.
- Advising on general employee compensation.
- Assisting in negotiating compensation terms for new hires.
- Expert witness testimony on executive compensation issues.
Consulting advice is provided on a fee-for-service basis; clients are billed monthly based on the services performed. Clients typically chair the Board or the Board’s Compensation Committee; Mr. Smith also works closely with the Executive Director to ensure that compensation decisions will be well understood by everyone involved and that they will address the needs of the organization as well as the concerns of the Board.
